About
26 year old singer/songwriter is proof that lighting can strike twice. First he rose to stardom as a young pop phenom and later to his most recent appearance on American Idol-Season 7. A recording star with the short lived pop group Boyz N’ Girls United at the tender age of 15, Robbie used the bands breakup to transition to his original love- rock and roll.
Living the rock star life, which included sleeping in a van and lugging gear from town to town, Robbie toiled in the underground music scene while learning the rigors of rock and roll and finding a sound that was all his own.
At the time of the American Idol auditions in Miami, Florida, Robbie agreed to audition if, for nothing else, the experience of it. After the show had auditioned over 104,000 contestants, Robbie stood as one of only 24 final contestants who would later make it to the shows live broadcasts.
Released from the show at number sixteen, Robbie immediately began working on his budding solo career which has included working with Grammy nominated singer/songwriter JR Richards (Dishwalla) among others. With a full length CD in the works and some surprise announcements to be made soon, Robbie is one step away from making another splash on the mainstream radio scene.
